2025 - present - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Cuba;

2024 - 2025 - Envoy Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of Georgia to the Republic of Cuba;

2014 - 2022 - Engaged in political and scientific activities;

2004 - 2013 - Was in political exile (Decision of the Parliament of Georgia of December 5, 2012 – on granting the status of political exile);

2003 - 2004 - Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Georgian Electric Power Company;

1999 - 2002 - Worked in the Office of the Head of State (President) of Georgia, as the President’s State Envoy in Samtskhe-Javakheti;

1995 - 1998 - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Armenia;

1994 - 1995 - Worked as a State Advisor in the Office of the Head of State of Georgia, Personal Representative of the President in the field of Georgian-Armenian relations (deepening bilateral relations, regulating cross-border trade and commodity circulation, ensuring proper border regime conditions, and protecting the rights and legitimate interests of Georgian citizens);

1993 - 1994 - Senior Research Fellow, Tbilisi State University, Doctoral Studies;

1986 - 1992 - Held various senior management positions in state structures of the Republic of Georgia;

1981 - 1984 - Researcher at Tbilisi State University.

 

Education:

1983 - Shota Rustaveli Institute of the History of Georgian Literature of the Georgian Academy of Sciences; 

1981 - Tbilisi State University, majoring in philology, oriental studies, and law;

He is the author of 7 monographs and more than 100 scientific papers, and holds a Doctor of Sciences degree.
