Chronology of Diplomatic Relations
Diplomatic relations between Georgia and the Republic of Cuba were established on April 18, 1992.
Fields of Cooperation
Along with the development of political dialogue, the main fields of cooperation are the following: economy, healthcare, culture, sport, education. Within the recent years, active work is ongoing for the development of mutual cooperation in the traditional areas. In these regard, sharing experience of Cuba in the healthcare sector, implementation of joint meetings of team sports and trainings, exchanges between the representatives of art community shall be mentioned. At the same time, through the support of relevant agencies and business communities of the two countries work is ongoing in order to increase bilateral trade turnover. High-level meetings are regularly held between the parties within the bilateral visits and the international forums as well.
